Moisture Sensors
This moisture measurement system uses a capacitance sensor to continuously detect the moisture in bulk materials. Typical moisture ranges are between 0% to 25%.
We have two basic configurations available for the sensor: a flush mount for steady stream materials and a cup mount for intermittent stream material or if the material height is less than 2” deep.
Flush Mount
The flush mount sensor head is placed in the material stream so that a constant flow of material is sliding past the sensor. Optimum performance is achieved when the material height is at least 2” deep.
Cup Mount
The cup mount is mounted to allow the material to flow into the cup. As soon as the moisture test has been performed the cup is emptied with a controlled air blast.
