A2D2’s Story
A2D2 Electronics was founded in 1990 by Allen Anway and Don Dettmann. Allen with his background in physics was able to design the technical equipment needed. Don had a long history in sales and Allen knew he was the right person to help develop the company.
In A2D2’s earlier days, Allen and Don developed bin level sensors, one style which could exist in a high heat atmosphere. A2D2 evolved and focused their attention on moisture sensors for industry. Today, A2D2 still makes bin level sensors, but focuses primarily on moisture sensors. A2D2 uses a capacitance-based moisture sensor, made in-house, to test products. In order to cover a wider variety of industrial needs, the decision was made to additionally rep another company which produces Near Infrared technology (NIR) for developing moisture information.
In preparation for Allen’s retirement in 2011, Gayle and Bob joined the team to help build sensors, solve IT issues and manage the office. Allen still comes to the office on most days as he is an integral part of the A2D2 family.
A2D2 covers many areas in the Midwest as well as Canada and other international pursuits.
A2D2 is constantly evolving their products to fit consumer and industry needs.
