Level Sensors
A level sensor detects the presence or absence of material directly contacting sensor disk. A2D2 has a High Temperature Level Sensor and an Ambient Level Sensor.
High Temperature Level Sensor
900°F to 1500°F Temperature
This unit is a flush mount capacitance type point level sensor that detects the presence or absence of material directly contacting the 3” sensor disk. This system has been used as an alternative to nuclear level sensors.
Robust construction includes a ceramic sensor disk that allows continuous operation up to 1500°F. The sensor can be manufactured with a remote electronics package. This allows the electrical housing to be located on the floor of the hopper area, making it easy for initial electrical hook-up as well as ongoing monitoring of the sensor’s performance.
Normal installation requires mounting the sensor head flush with the inside of the bin or hopper wall, producing a non-intrusive level control system. A special adjustment feature allows the sensor head to be projected internally up to 6 inches in cases where a non-flush installation is necessary.
Ambient Level Sensor
This unit is a capacitance type point level sensor that detects the presence or absence of material directly contacting the 3” sensor disk.
Options include:
High temp sensor head with operating temps to 500° F
Ceramic sensor head with operating temperatures up to 1500° F
Normal installation requires mounting the head flush with the inside of the cyclone wall, producing a non-intrusive sensor. A special adjustment feature allows the sensor head to be projected internally up to 6” in cases where a probe type sensor is required.
